2. Packaging & Transportation

3. Organise Documentation
Platinum® will liaise with both you and your overseas supplier to ensure that all of the paperwork that is required to ensure a smooth border clearance has been addressed before the goods depart from overseas for New Zealand. Platinum® is focused in receiving accurate paperwork like (1) the commercial invoice, (2) packing list, (3) bill of lading, (4) Free Trade Certificate and (5) a stamped marine insurance policy.
4. Shipping Logistics
Once your supplier is ready to ship your goods from overseas to New Zealand, Platinum® will monitor the cargo and provide you with updates. Smaller fitness and gym equipment shipments may travel by air; in that case, we will monitor the flight to New Zealand. Our customs clearance team will monitor and keep you updated from the very beginning through to the point that you have received your goods.
5. Customs Clearance
Before your fitness and gym equipment arrives in New Zealand, Platinum® will have pre-cleared your cargo through both the New Zealand Customs Service (NZCS) and the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI), ensuring that your shipment can be collected or delivered promptly.
6. Delivery and Installation
After the goods have been customs cleared, the air freight shipment will be available for collection from the air freight terminal, the sea freight Less than a Container Load (LCL) shipment will be available for collection from the sea freight depot and the Full Container Load (FCL) shipment will need to collected from the wharf by Platinum® and taken to the Approved Transitional Facility (ATF) to be unpacked.
7. FCL - Full Container Load
Once the goods have been unpacked from the FCL, you can either collect the loose items from the ATF, you can nominate a transport company to collect the loose items from the ATF on your behalf, or Platinum® can deliver the loose items to you. Platinum® is happy for you to collect your goods from the air freight terminal or the sea freight depot, but FCLs will need to be collected from the wharf by Platinum® and taken to the ATF for unpacking. Whether you are setting up a gym, fitness centre, or a home studio, once you have received your goods, you are then ready to install and start using your new equipment.
