Before your first clearance, you will need to complete an Authorisation and Acknowledgement form. This authorises Platinum® to act as your customs broker. Your broker will tell you if any other forms apply to your shipment.
What is an FCL packing declaration?
An FCL packing declaration states what packaging and packing materials were used in a full container, so MPI can assess the biosecurity risk. It is usually completed by your overseas supplier when the container is packed.
What is the NZ Customs deferred payment scheme?
Deferred payment lets approved importers pay Customs duty and GST on an account, rather than paying for each shipment before it is released. You apply directly to NZ Customs using the application form.
How do I return completed forms?
Send completed forms to your Platinum® broker, or upload them with your supplier's invoice through our quote form. If you are unsure, call 0800 166 716.
Who should complete the packing declaration, me or my supplier?
Your overseas supplier usually completes the FCL packing declaration, because they pack the container. Send them the form before your goods are packed so it travels with the shipping documents.
